Come to our Open Day
“Championing the good use of homegrown timber from sustainable productive woodlands for the benefit of present and future generations”

As a business whose history and success literally starts with the trees we are very excited to be opening our premises as part of the Open Woods & Workshops month-long programme in June 2026.

Our goal is to share and celebrate the beauty and utility of homegrown hardwood timbers by telling the story from seed to finished article with all our wonderful suppliers, makers and customers.

We would be delighted if you would like to be a part of the day, sharing your amazing work and inviting your own customers.
By opening our doors to the wider public, especially within the South Downs National Park, wholeheartedly champion the objectives of Woodland Heritage to deepen knowledge and inspire creativity.

We plan to round off the day with a social evening to which you and your partners are invited.

Woodland Walk
As part of the event, guests will have the opportunity to join an exclusive off-site woodland walk, available by pre-booking only.
This guided visit offers a rare chance to step into the forest and experience sustainable woodland management first-hand, seeing where quality British timber begins its journey.
Throughout the walk, you’ll hear woodland management stories and practical insights into how forests are carefully stewarded for future generations. The session will be led by Laura Henderson from English Woodlands Forestry, alongside Tom Compton from English Woodlands Timber and Nina from Cowdray Estate, who will share their expertise on responsible forestry, estate management and the journey from tree to timber.

Places are limited, and guests will need to reserve a dedicated time slot when booking their event ticket to take part in this special woodland experience.
