The Woolly Good Gathering 2026

Edinburgh is the city of festivals, but it had been missing an important one: a yarn festival! We’re bringing back our successful event – this time to Edinburgh Academy in Stockbridge! We'll celebrate knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners and fibre lovers with a festival of crafts, workshops, talks, music, food and good company.

Our team is dedicated to building an event with a large community and cooperative focus that will be a welcoming and safe space for everyone.

We can’t wait to welcome you to The Woolly Good Gathering 2026!

Our Marketplace is spread out over multiple rooms, with plenty of space for visitors to mingle, chat to vendors and squish yarn and fibre. There will be plenty of seating and quiet places of retreat too.

Shop some of your favourite indie dyers, yarn producers, craft suppliers and other fibre businesses, all under one roof in the Marketplace. Keep an eye on our website and socials for all the vendor reveals!

Once more, we'll will host a programme of workshops led by expert tutors and with so many interesting vendors and local fibre artisans and professionals to learn from, another wonderful line-up of talks. To read the full workshop and talk schedule, visit our website here.

A wee note about tickets, donations and returns

Our chosen charity this year is Richmond's Hope, which supports children experiencing bereavement: This is automatically added to your basket and you can  either increase or remove the donation on the ticket page. Please do read more about Richmond's Hope on our website.

In the past, we have returned tickets up to the last days before the festival, and even at shorter notice in exceptional circumstances. Sometimes this has meant we are out of pocket in paying workshop tutors their proper fees. From 2026, we will honour returned tickets ~ for workshops and talks up to April 3rd 2026 ~ for marketplace tickets up to April 10th 2026. Booking fees are non-refundable and refunds will also incur a £1.50 admin fee. Any requests outwith these dates will be at our discretion only and for significantly extenuating circumstances.
