💦 Practices to Identify and Ripple Network Impact

Ripple Effects Mapping (REM) is designed to reveal the diverse and often longer-term impacts of a program or experience. 

It enables us to discover and articulate network effects such as trust, collaboration, co-learning, and interdependence that often enable meaningful change.

You will:

• 💡 Learn how communities have used REM to develop an understanding of the method

• 🌱 Gain a sense of the many possible REM processes, their application & challenges

• 💬 Get peer support to apply REM in your collaborative projects, network or community

🔥 Weaving a Community of Practice for REM

Join a three part series on REM:

• Session 1: The diversity of ways REM gets used (this event)
• Session 2: Design your own REM strategy
• Session 3: Forming a CoP for applying REM

We encourage you to sign up to all three sessions! 

But, if you just want to dip your toes into REM waters 💦 , you are welcome to join only one or two. 

1-2 months after the festival, we will form a new group on this topic, which you can join.

💸 Financial contributions for long-term spaces

Festival sessions are using a gift economy model. 

Fito covers coordination costs as a gift to the network. Your contribution, if you decide to give one, goes towards two things:

• The track hosts 

• The post-festival experiments

For each session, there are three tiers:

• Accessibility — 0–30€ | contribute what you can.

• Sustainability — 30€ | meets the needs of the hosts and the track.

• Supporter — 45€+ | helps others attend and supports the work of the hosts.

Give the most you can without overstretching or resentment.💚 (Model based on the work of Miki Kashtan.)

🎉 About the Networks Festival 2026 (Spoiler: It's different from the last years! 👀)

From May 18 – June 26 and fully online.

For this year's Networks Festival we invite you to play in 6 topic tracks, which have three sessions each.

Each session in a track builds on another.

If you do, you might need to bake a cake 🍰 or do an expressive dance! 🕺🏽💃🏽 

Each of the topic tracks will kick-start a long-term space 1-2 months after the festival.
