Travel, flying and the climate crisis: Sheffield
Our flagship event comes to Sheffield, where we explore the topic of flight-free travel, including why it's important to fly less, and how we can still travel without the high carbon footprint.
Our panel of local speakers will discuss various aspects of sustainable travel, including the numbers behind the carbon, how individual behaviour change can lead to wider change, and suggestions for flight-free holidays. The speaker section will be followed by questions from the audience.
Join us in person in Sheffield at Star House (43 Division Street, S1 4GE).
Speakers:
- Dr Stephen Allen – reducing flying in academia
- Lara Sayers – travelling to Greece and back without flying
- Anna Hughes – why and how to fly less
- Chris Broome – the case against re-opening the Doncaster-Sheffield airport
