Ensemble in Process: Politics As Usual?
As we just had our recent US Presidential Election, let alone an important one, could this election cycle be our last? Ensemble in Process presents Politics as Usual?, an evening concert that will explore the complexity and various dynamics in the political atmosphere. Politics as Usual? will cover themes pertaining to social unrest, gun violence, news broadcasts, presidential corruption and peace activism.
Politics as Usual? will feature composed works by Brian Mark, Marcos Balter, Ruby Fulton and Frederic Rzewski, with performances and collaboration from Hugh Ash, Cole Bartels, Tessa Brinckman, Allyson Clare, David Friend, Ford Fourquerean, Brian Mark, Nick Pauly, Seth Gilman and Hikaru Tamaki.
Politics as Usual? is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, which includes a new work by Brian Mark specifically created for this event.
