We’re transforming First Street Market into an immersive tea lounge. Each event is a unique blend of performance and presence, with a rotating lineup of musical performances, DJs, and visuals, alongside artisanal teas (included with your ticket!) and gentle activities to support your flow between solo and social time, as it suits your intentions for the evening. 

This isn't your average concert. Steep'd is a carefully curated, immersive experience created to provide a meditative and magical space for those looking to:

• Enjoy a meaningful night out with loved ones & new connections
• Spend time journaling, reading, studying, or working on a creative project while still getting out of the house
• Meet new people in an easy-going environment designed to foster conversation and connection
• Experience a softer, more intentional alternative to nightlife

Lineups 

We're grateful to collaborate with so many amazing artists from the greater Boston community and beyond to offer one-of-a-kind ambient sets thoughtfully crafted for Steep’d.

• March 20th: The spring season opens with a live dark ambient set from Ether Codex– blending acoustic cello performance and electronic alchemy, dj J. Bagist on the decks, and visuals by Badware. 
• April 4th: Daniel Tague is coming north from Providence to serve up eclectic layers of ambient sounds and soft grooves, alongside an exciting return to ambient curation from dj Will Greene and visuals from DebStep. 
• **April 10th: We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Virgo’s Room and Cocoa Beantown for a very special immersive tea and chocolate pairing experience, alongside live plant-generated music from Skooby Laposky. Tickets can be purchased here. 
• April 25th: Djs u_N/A_me and 2h1 return from Portland, ME to support live performance by Will Greene who will infuse downtempo grooves and crystal singing bowls (from yogi & sound healer Laoti) into reworked classical guitar pieces and original ambient washes. Attendees will also get to enjoy a special collection of zines from Rabbits of Realness’ incredible library and visuals by Mr. Improbable! 
• May 1st: Nested between dreamy sonic collages from Providence-based dj Liam Vira,  not a hedgehog will be performing a live ambient synth set of innovative electronic dreams. Plus, visuals by Fractal Bunny and donation-based tarot readings from the wonderful Mercurial Mystic! 
• **May 9th: Multi-disciplinary group DREAMGLOW will guide us through a two-part immersive sound journey, featuring lush vocal harmonies, live instrumentation, a dance performance, and visual projections. Guests should expect a quiet listening experience this evening, with dedicated time for conversation outside of the performances. 
  We encourage guests to bring cushions, blankets, yoga mats, and anything else that will make you comfortable as you lie down and bathe in sound. Our supplies are limited for this format. If you have accessibility needs or want a chair, please email us at your earliest convenience. 
• May 23rd: Diamond Doc (NH) will be opening and closing, with delay soaked analog samples alongside digital glitch and live guitar loops to create dreamy downtempo and ambient original compositions. In between their sets, Deep Seize (VT) will perform a live set blending ethereal live hand pans melodies with downtempo electronic grooves.

Details

There is a strict arrival window between 7:00 and 7:30 PM, so we can collectively open and settle into the space. The evening concludes at 10:00 PM, but guests are welcome to transition out prior, should they wish. 

This is an 18+ event.

We have some games, art materials, yoga mats, and floor seating available, but encourage guests to bring any other supplies, projects, books, etc that will enhance your experience!

Pricing 

Our prices reflect the number of artists, production costs, and inclusive tea service (a $15+ value per person) that go into each event. We also prioritize maintaining an intimate, alcohol-free setting, which removes two of the main ways events generate revenue.

While we are taking a different approach to nightlife, we aim to stay comparable to a night out at a show with a drink or two — just without the extra transactions on-site & with more immersive elements. 

To keep events accessible, we offer a self-selected sliding scale, inviting guests to choose the rate that best fits their financial situation.  We also welcome volunteer exchanges for those who cannot afford a ticket and/or want to support in other ways.
