Black History Month Open-Air Cinema @ The Belham Primary School

Join us at The Belham Primary School for a special silent open-air cinema event featuring screenings of Wish, The Princess and the Frog, Black Panther, Rye Lane, and Selma. Relax on our cozy inflatable seats and deck chairs and enjoy the films on a stunning LED screen played via headphones. Come along and be part of our vibrant community celebration!

Our BHM silent open-air cinema is a unique outdoor movie experience. The audio will be transmitted through wireless headphones instead of traditional speakers. This creates an immersive and personal viewing experience, as each attendee can control their own volume and enjoy high-quality sound directly in their ears.

Saturday, 5th October

Wish (105 minutes, PG): 10:00am - 11:45am

The Princess and the Frog (95 minutes, U): 12:35pm - 2:10pm

  • Set in the vibrant city of New Orleans, this Disney classic follows Tiana, a hardworking young woman with big dreams. Her journey from waitress to princess is a testament to resilience and determination. As we celebrate Black History Month, Tiana’s story reminds us of the importance of pursuing our dreams despite the obstacles we may face.


Black Panther (135 minutes, 12A): 4:00pm - 6:15pm

  • Enter the world of Wakanda, a hidden African nation with advanced technology and rich cultural heritage. “Black Panther” is more than just a superhero film; it’s a celebration of African culture and a powerful statement on identity and leadership. During Black History Month, this film serves as a reminder of the strength and ingenuity of the African diaspora.
